What is the California Seal of Biliteracy?
The CA Seal of Biliteracy is a recognition awarded to graduating 12th grade students who have attained a high level of proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in one or more languages in addition to English. The CA Seal of Biliteracy is marked with a gold seal affixed on diploma. To earn the CA Seal of Biliteracy, a student must show proficient in English and a language other than English.
